Biggest Challenge

    I have had a lot of challenges this year.....but by far the worst is all the pressure!!!!!! This class puts major pressure on you to keep up with the other schools and students, pressure to have a good game, and pressure to constantly learn things. I guess it makes it better when you know everyone else is in the same boat as you are, but only a little bit. I have some problems with keeping up with all this. There are five new kids in this class, and I know they know about as much as I do, but I really have problems learning this coding and junk. It's a lot of pressure as well to make a great game in this class. Like if you don't make one, they'll get really mad and that's just terrible. Anyway, I've just had challenges with pressure....and to relieve that pressure, I like to go here. Or even here. Or I watch this video right down here.

Using Sound

I LOVE sound!!!  It makes the game a lot more fun to play. It will definatly make our game a lot more fun! When the little man moves through the maze, if he hits a wall, he gets a bell sounding kind of thing. But a bad one, since bells are sometimes happy. It also makes the learning experience better, because people will just want to hear the sounds more, so they have to strive to get the questions right. There are all kinds of different sounds going into this game. Everything from bells to music, frogs to chickens, and just about everything in between!!!

  This is a video of some sweet sounds while this guy is drawing. It's amazing!!!!!!!   If you want a link to a place where you can create some great tunes with a bunch of different sounds, here that is!!!!!

Reflecting

I really liked doing Flash this year in Globaloria. I wasn't in it last year, so I thought all this would be incredibly hard. But surprisingly it's not. Creating in Flash allows me to express myself in my school by doing things that I love and making my ideas come to life. It's been great to see all of my ideas being created in reality. It felt great to finally accomplish some things that I had to work at. Like getting characters to move, making buttons work, and getting Flash to cooperate. So Flash this year has really been good for me and I hope the rest will come this easily. Sorry I couldn't exactly find a video, but I did find some happy stuff. And here is a link to like, the happiest, weirdest website I have ever discovered. http://www.weirdomatic.com/ Seriously it's happy. Once again, couldn't find a video on the subject but oh well.

Mini Game Project Post

Ok, I admit it, I love video games. They're just so much fun! Of course you have to get up off the couch and go outside, but if you have a little free time, I would say play a game. I usually don't go for the console games like PlayStation or XBox that often. I mostly stick to the Internet games online.

My favorite games to play in the whole history of forever and ever, are puzzle games. They are very addicting!! I love those games where you have to take piece and put it somewhere like a jigsaw puzzle or something like that. I love mazes too, I could play them forever.

     This project gave me a much wider perspective about games. Usually I gravitate toward the easier games, but I realize the easy ones don't really take that much time and effort. If you want a great game you have to put some real effort into it, and I've learned that!

In fact here is a link to a site that has a lot of games, both easy and challenging.....http://www.y8.com/

And if you want to see something, here is a video of a video game....sorry this video doesn't seem to be working. If you really want to see it, just click this link....http://www.viddler.com/explore/shogungamer/videos/303/ thanks, bye!!!!

I really like the puzzles genre. At first I thought I liked the general, but then I saw that the puzzles part said the word random, which is what I mostly like about the general. But it's all the fun of a maze or a regular puzzle. And people can still learn things. like making a puzzle about math facts or teaching them division or something. Plus your puzzles can pop up at anytime, like !BANG! puzzle in your face! I mean look at this puzzle --->

Or this puzzle ---->

In fact you can watch this video of a man putting a puzzle together.
