Imagining My Game

     Hey, it's Kilie again, and this time we have to do a kind of idea for our game. This thing right here is the thing that I typed up in Flash!

     My game idea for a puzzle, is somewhat like a maze. You would be a player wandering the building trying to get out. To make the right turns, you have to get the answers to the prblems right about the Pythagorean Theorem. If you get the questions wrong, well, you make a wrong turn. There are five questions on every level. The first one has six, but the first one is a diagram of the Pythagorean Theorem that you have to put together. At the last level (the roof) you have to get the questions right to hop on the clouds that will let you stay. If the answer is wrong you fall through the cloud. You have five lives through the game, and three extra when you get to the roof. At the end, you get to the helicopter and make it away from the maze.

     I am really excited about making a game in general. There isn't really one thing that i'm most excited about. I just really like solving challenging problems and I think this will be a very challenging problem.

     In fact, here is a video of a person solving a puzzle....

Mini Game Project Post

Ok, I admit it, I love video games. They're just so much fun! Of course you have to get up off the couch and go outside, but if you have a little free time, I would say play a game. I usually don't go for the console games like PlayStation or XBox that often. I mostly stick to the Internet games online.

My favorite games to play in the whole history of forever and ever, are puzzle games. They are very addicting!! I love those games where you have to take piece and put it somewhere like a jigsaw puzzle or something like that. I love mazes too, I could play them forever.

     This project gave me a much wider perspective about games. Usually I gravitate toward the easier games, but I realize the easy ones don't really take that much time and effort. If you want a great game you have to put some real effort into it, and I've learned that!

In fact here is a link to a site that has a lot of games, both easy and challenging.....http://www.y8.com/

And if you want to see something, here is a video of a video game....sorry this video doesn't seem to be working. If you really want to see it, just click this link....http://www.viddler.com/explore/shogungamer/videos/303/ thanks, bye!!!!

I really like the puzzles genre. At first I thought I liked the general, but then I saw that the puzzles part said the word random, which is what I mostly like about the general. But it's all the fun of a maze or a regular puzzle. And people can still learn things. like making a puzzle about math facts or teaching them division or something. Plus your puzzles can pop up at anytime, like !BANG! puzzle in your face! I mean look at this puzzle --->

Or this puzzle ---->

In fact you can watch this video of a man putting a puzzle together.

So basically, i'm done with this whole topic and i'm leaving now. Goodbye.
